Titan Media, Joe Gage Extend Directorial Deal

SAN FRANCISCO Titan Media and GAYVN Hall of Fame director Joe Gage have extended the contract under which Gage writes and directs for TitanMen. Gage will continue to produce and direct films under his own label, D&G Media, as well.

Gage has directed 20 movies under the TitanMen label, including Arcade on Route 9, Gunnery Sgt. McCool, The Road to Redneck Hollow and Slow Heat in a Texas Town. The latter currently resides at No. 1 on TLAVideo.com’s list of best-selling gay DVDs.

The 20 titles give TitanMen the largest library of Gage-directed films in the gay adult industry.

“The people at Titan and the wide range of resources they have made available to me over the years have afforded me opportunities to expand my creative horizons more than I would have thought possible,” Gage said. “I’m looking forward to this next step in our shared adventure.”

Gage has been a fixture in the gay adult industry for 25 years. His trilogy of “road” films from the late 1970s — Kansas City Trucking Co., El Paso Wrecking Corp. and L.A. Tool & Die — are considered benchmarks. Gage attained icon status long before he was inducted into the GAYVN Hall of Fame in 2001.

“I am very pleased that Joe has committed to furthering our existing partnership and friendship,” said Titan Media chief executive officer Bruce Cam. “Joe is truly a moviemaker, and we are committed to giving Joe the creative freedom to make movies the way he wants to make them.

“There is nobody in our industry who can tell a story and make a movie better than Joe Gage,” Cam added. “We are honored that Joe has chosen to stay with Titan Media.”
