The Faultline Bar's Porn-a-Thon charity event broke all records for attendance and revenues at its 11th annual fundraiser, Titan Media reported in a press release today.
The slogan "This Year, Everyone Gets Porn" helped draw more than 900 attendees to last Sunday's event at Faultline, Los Angeles' premier leather/Levi's bar which has been serving and supporting the gay community for over ten years.
The $4,560 in contributions went to Being Alive, a nonprofit organization created and operated by and for people living with HIV/AIDS.
TitanMen.com donated more than 1,000 of their films so that all in attendance went home with the very best in gay porn.
In thanking Titan for its generous support, Demetri Moshoyannis, Being Alive's executive director, said, "We raised over $4,500 that will help us open the doors at our new Silver Lake location, opening next month. Your donations are critical to the success of our increased service delivery. As I’m sure you know, government resources for HIV/AIDS are shrinking all the time which means that your contributions are all the more critical. Big thanks to TitanMen for the ongoing support in our fight against HIV/AIDS!"
Adding his thanks was Faultline owner Shawn Farnsworth. Citing Titan CEO Bruce Cam, Farnsworth said, "I can’t thank you enough, Bruce, for your support on this and other similar charity events here at the Faultline. It truly adds a great deal simply having the name “Titan” attached to an event at my bar. Having beaucoup videos to offer the charity-fatigued throngs really helps in keeping them interested. More than a few expressed dazed astonishment that they were actually getting something back for their contribution — and nothing says something like A-list porn."
"We at TitanMen are always happy to support local HIV/AIDS charities and events," said Cam. "It is even more appropriate and fitting that events benefiting HIV/AIDS charities are partnered with companies such as TitanMen that promote and eroticize safer sex practices in all our products. HIV/AIDS is still a threat to our community and we are dedicated to doing all we can to support and promote HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention in local communities."
The grand opening of the Being Alive Silver Lake Service Center will be held on Sunday, September 18, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The new facility is located at 2640 Griffith Park Boulevard in Los Angeles. Anyone interested in attending the opening ceremonies should RSVP to 310-289-2551.
