NEW YORK - Lucas Entertainment has announced two events to kick off the release of its sex comedy "The Intern," which stars Lucas exclusive Ben Andrews, the self-proclaimed owner of the "biggest dick in the industry."
Andrews, fellow cast member Jonathan Vargas and Lucas Entertainment owner Michael Lucas will be on hand at the Virgin Megastore at 52 E. 14th St. in Union Square beginning at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
The event also will feature locally famous drag queen "Peppermint Gummibear," who will co-host a competition for a dinner date with a Lucas Entertainment exclusive. Nekked, winner of the 2007 GAYVN Best Music award, and recording artist Colton Ford will perform at the event, which also will include a question-and-answer session with the cast, a DVD signing and photo opportunities.
The Virgin Megastore event will be followed by a party at Splash Bar beginning at 10 p.m. The party will coincide with Alan Picus' popular weekly event Campus Thursdays; DJ Mikey Rave will provide the music. DVD giveaways and cast autographs will continue throughout the evening.
Lucas said he wanted the in-store event and release party to be "as fun as the movie itself."
"The Intern" is written and directed by Tony Dimarco, a winner of multiple GAYVN awards, and features Michael Lucas, Christian Cruz, Matt Cole, Jonathan Vargas, Ray Star, Derrick Hanson, Jason Ridge, Jimmy and Zack Randall.
