Second ‘Gay Porn Twin Burglar’ Sentenced

PHILADELPHIA—Keyontyli Goffney, the second brother in a pair the media dubbed “the gay porn twin burglars,” pleaded guilty to burglary and criminal conspiracy charges and was sentenced to the two days’ jail time he already has served, plus four years’ probation.

“Make sure you stay on the straight and narrow,” presiding Judge Lisa M. Rau warned during sentencing.

His identical brother, Taleon Goffney, pleaded guilty to the same charges in July and received a sentence of three to eight years in prison because he has a history of criminal behavior. He also is serving a four- to eight-year sentence for a Philadelphia burglary he committed alone in December 2007.

“[Keyontyli Goffney] had previously been a working member of society up until this point,” Assistant District Attorney Caroline Keating told the Philadelphia Daily News. “But his brother is a true career criminal.”

The Goffney brothers, 27, were apprehended in February 2008 during the last in a string of “rooftop” burglaries in South Philly. Authorities said Keyontyli Goffney and his mother, Towana Goffney, acted as lookouts while Taleon Goffney cut holes in the roofs of several businesses in order to gain access and steal money and merchandise. Charges pending against Towana Goffney were dropped.

Under the pseudonyms Teyon and Keyon, the brothers appeared in gay porn videos separately and together for websites like BlackMen.net, EbonyD.com and FlavaWorks.com. Because of their good looks and gay adult industry ties, what otherwise might have been a minor local crime story garnered national attention, even earning a shout-out last year during a Weekend Update segment on “Saturday Night Live.”

Keyontyli Goffney told The Associated Press he continues to work as a model.
