BETHLEHEM, Penn. - Finalizing a deal begun in November, Sebastian's Studios has acquired all rights to the assets of Pride Island Productions, a former producer of gay amateur porn content based in Louisville, Ky. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
The deal includes Pride Island's catalog of 81 bareback and safe-sex gay hardcore DVDs, previously sold only online and through mail order. Sebastian's Studios president JJ Ruch intends to continue online distribution under the brand name Pride Island Productions.
"We're distributing Pride Island Productions videos with AEBN, HotMovies and other online pay-per-view entities," Ruch said. "We've already begun the editing procedures and plan to re-release the DVDs, but we'll be giving them further exposure and attention than what they have had in the past."
In addition to the Pride Island line, Sebastian's Studios owns about 300 DVDs from 12 studio lines and more than 50 membership websites.
