SAN FRANCISCO - Raging Stallion Studios has signed performer Ricky Sinz to a lifetime contract covering films, print media and Web markets. In addition, Sinz will develop new projects aimed at the straight adult market, RSS president Chris Ward said.
Sinz recently completed his first year as a Raging Stallion exclusive, earning more industry awards than any other performer during the past year. Among the accolades were three GAYVN Awards and three Grabby Awards for his performance as a drill sergeant in Grunts. Sinz recently was filmed in the lead role for To the Last Man, Raging Stallion's big-budget western epic scheduled to release Thanksgiving weekend.
He also has been developing a male-focused straight line that features major gay porn stars in straight roles.
"We have enjoyed working with Ricky over the past year, and his performance in Grunts really helped make the film the classic that it has become," Ward said. "His performance in To the Last Man is over the top - the man really should be in Hollywood. He is a real talent, and we at Raging Stallion are thrilled that he will be part of the studio for the long haul."
Sinz said the extraordinary offer of lifetime exclusivity was an honor.
"When it came time for me to re-sign with the studio, Chris Ward, Kent Taylor and I were all on the same page with where I wanted my career to go and where they wanted me to go," he explained. "I know a lifetime exclusive is a rarity these days, so I was honored when I was offered this opportunity. I have never had a bad experience at Raging Stallion, and they have treated me like family since the beginning. I have learned so much about this industry and about myself by taking this path in life, and the only regret I have is that I didn't do it sooner."
Sinz was born and raised in Chicago. He spent eight years in the U.S. Army's Special Forces Sergeant First Class, during which time he was responsible for 28 confirmed kills. He left the service after a three-year stint in Iraq during which he was injured in an ambush that destroyed the vehicle in which he was riding.
Sinz became a Golden Gloves amateur boxer at the age of 16, so following his military service, it surprised no one who knew him when he became a mixed martial arts fighter who participated in tournaments from California to Thailand. He holds an MMA record of 87 wins, six draws and zero losses.
With partners Gunner and Scott LaRock, Sinz formed straight adult production company Hole and a Heartbeat Studios. The Philadelphia-based studio, which eventually branched out into a record label and a fashion line, specialized in straight men who were heavily tattooed. Sinz not only served as a director and producer for several Hole and a Heartbeat films but also performed.
Sinz signed as a Raging Stallion Studios exclusive in 2007, after dissolving the Hole and a Heartbeat partnership. He self-identifies as a bisexual man.
During his first year with Raging Stallion, Sinz not only performed in the multi-award-winning Grunts but also served as the film's technical director.
Although he has a bad-boy reputation, Sinz also has a softer aspect. Since 1998 he has raised more than $1 million to support causes including homeless shelters, HIV clinics, disabled veterans, cancer foundations and other global issues including gay rights.
