Raging Stallion Studios today released its final film for 2005, director Chris Ward's Arabesque.
Studio head Ward described Arabesque as "the studio's most ambitious project to date. It consists of two three-hour discs featuring seventeen models and three feature documentaries."
The movie stars Raging Stallion exclusives Huessein, François Sagat, Remy Delaine, Manuel Torres, Sarib, and Cory Koons. Other featured players include Playgirl model Colin West, Ivan Andros, Joey Milano, and new discovery Dario Granada. Music by company co-founder JD Slater complements the visuals.
"Arabesque," said Ward, "is an excellent film. I took what we did with Passport to Paradise one step further. It was a lot of fun to make and the guys really gave first-rate performances all around. I only hope that I can achieve this level of excellence again in the future!"
The studio set up a free iPod Video preview page for fans and customers on the official Arabesque website, http://rsspress.c.topica.com/maaek0Yabm30naIwHTibadIclx/. "The response to the iPod previews has been astounding!" Ward said.
In a press statement announcing the film's release, Ward explained, "Arabesque is unique in that it uses old 1920s Hollywood footage as contextual elements between the scenes. I was tempted to list Rudolph Valentino in the credits — his films, The Sheik and Son of the Sheik, were the inspiration for the movie. Arabesque features amazing sets, back-lot production, many extras (even a male belly dancer!), and has the epic feel of a classic Hollywood production."
Raging Stallion has undertaken a major marketing campaign for Arabesque that begins in earnest on January 2. The studio has set up a website, ArabesqueTheMovie.com, as a source for images and information for fans and industry professionals.
Interviews and articles are scheduled to appear in such trade and consumer magazines as GAYVN, XXX Showcase, Honcho, and Bad Puppy.
Naked Sword, which produced one of the "making of" documentaries, is already running extensive coverage at NakedSword.com.
Retail orders are being filled on a first-come first-served basis, Ward said, with much of the initial pressing already spoken for. "A new run has already been ordered to meet anticipated wholesale demands after January 1."
Wholesale accounts may reserve units by contacting Mo Duran or Martin Rosenthal at [email protected] and 877-327-0707.
"Arabesque is the final film of what has been an ambitious 2005 release schedule," Ward stated. "Raging Stallion's 2005 films, which include Centurion Muscle, Hard as Wood, Passport to Paradise, Hole Sweet Hole, and the Construction Zone fisting films (as well as twelve other major titles!) will certainly go down as contributing to one of the studio's best vintages."
