Raging Stallion Cuts ‘Extreme’ Fetish DVD Prices

SAN FRANCISCO — Raging Stallion Studios has reduced the suggested retail prices of all its “extreme hardcore” fetish products by 43 percent, the company announced. The $30 drop to $39.99 applies to all catalog titles and future releases.

“Mainstream” gay titles will retain their current prices, which range from $49.99 to $69.99, the spokesman said.

The first new movie scheduled for release under the recession-friendly pricing structure is All Hands on Deck, expected to street July 3. All Hands on Deck, directed by GAYVN Award winners Tony Dimarco and Chris Ward, features RSS performers Matthieu Paris, Sky Devil, Antonio Biaggi and Andrew Barclay as well as newcomer Kain Warn.

Historically fetish films have commanded a premium price point, but in today’s tough market consumers are demanding a readjustment of niche price structures, Raging Stallion President Ward noted.

“We feel the fetish market has changed dramatically over the past two or three years,” Ward said. “To take fisting as an example, there are so many companies producing this content that the market really is flooded. To be competitive and retain our position as the top supplier of fisting erotica, we have decided to become aggressively competitive in terms of quality and pricing.

“We have long owned a big share of this market, and we intend to keep it,” he added.

To that end, Raging Stallion plans to boost production of fetish content. Last year the studio released five fetish features. RSS plans to double that number during 2009.

Ward revealed a significant percentage of the company’s revenue from specialized fetish titles is derived from RSS’s membership websites and its Web-based video-on-demand network. Raging Stallion supplies all of the content for affiliate program GunzBlazing’s FistingCentral.com, one of the largest gay fisting membership sites on the Web.

Both Raging Stallion Studios and GunzBlazing are part of the AEBN network of companies.
