Raging Stallion, Aquarius Unite for Gay TV Launch

SAN FRANCISCO - Raging Stallion and Aquarius Broadcasting Corp. have launched Men's World, a joint venture into North American video-on-demand services for cable television. Catering to gay men, the network will deliver adult content to approximately six million subscribers in the United States and Canada, the companies said.

Award-winning films including Grunts: The New Recruits headline the launch. New films will premiere monthly.

Men's World also will offer European films from High Octane, a 10-year old company recently acquired by Raging Stallion.

"Although our focus has been on the development and delivery of straight content in the cable VOD and [pay-per-view] markets, for several years now I've questioned why adult services have not placed more of a television focus on the gay arena," Aquarius Broadcasting president John Chambliss said. "[I] concluded that most have been concerned with venturing into something they don't understand. I thus spent time studying this market, as well as the content being produced for it."

Raging Stallion chief executive officer Chris Ward is enthusiastic about the launch.

"We are always looking for opportunities to expand our product into new distribution systems, and the ever-expanding cable television video-on-demand market is one of the fastest growing ‘new media' platforms," he said. "We decided to team up with Aquarius because of their history of success in the television industry and track record of honest, effective follow through. John Chambliss and his team are the best, so our choice was pretty easy."

Ward and Chambliss also applauded the contribution of Dave Kravis, president of Coastline Licensing, who was instrumental in putting together the deal.

"Dave's untiring efforts have proven invaluable to aligning Raging Stallion with Aquarius," Ward said. "He is a man to be admired and trusted."

Chambliss added, "I've worked with Dave Kravis for 10 years and found him to be a person whose judgment and advice I can always depend on."

Among the Raging Stallion titles slated to premiere soon on Men's World are Mirage, Playback, Hunter Hunted, Centurion Muscle IV: Erotikus, Trouser Trout, Bedroom Eyes, Lords of the Jungle, Tail Pipes, Team Players, Jock Itch, Passport to Paradise, Humping Iron and Big, Bigger, Biggest Part 1. High Octane premieres will include In the Wild, College Cocks #2, Ransom and Fair Catch.
