SAN FRANCISCO - Raging Stallion Studios (RSS), one of the leading producers of gay adult entertainment, has teamed up with BIG Daddy, a division of Village Lighthouse, Inc. to release a pair of 16-month wall calendars.
The 2008 "Young Bucks" and "Rough Riders" calendars feature some of the gay adult industry's hottest talent. The models were photographed by Kent Taylor, who told AVN Novelty Business magazine that the success of the final product is largely due to the experience of Village Lighthouse and its divisions including BIG Daddy and 10%.
"The exciting part of this project is that we worked closely with Village Lighthouse," he explained. "They have been in this business for a long time. We definitely saw the collaboration being the most successful with Village Lighthouse in the driver's seat. We feel the quality of the calendars truly represents the quality standard that Raging Stallion strives for each and every day."
Julian Hobson, director of business affairs and film acquisitions of Village Lighthouse, Inc., the parent company of Big Daddy, told ANB he feels the partnership formed with Raging Stallion earlier this year is strong and will only grow in the future. They've already begun planning two new RSS calendars for 2009 and have introduced RSS greeting cards as well as a small line of Christmas cards.
"Raging Stallion is an important key partner and brand for our Big Daddy division," he said. "We began our partnership earlier this year-overall, we've been extremely pleased with the response the two calendar titles have received. The design and printing quality turned out beautiful showcasing Kent Taylor's impressive photography wonderfully."
"Rough Riders" features RSS exclusive Jake Deckard on the cover; its pages feature other familiar faces, such as Blake Nolan, Tag Adams, Huessein, Michael Brandon, Dirk Jager and Arpad Miklos.
"Young Bucks" features Francois Saggat on the cover and in two places inside; the lineup is rounded out by performers such as Matt Cole, Remy Delaine and Shane Rollins.
Taylor said the only difficulty in producing the calendars was narrowing down the choices from Raging Stallion's roster of studs.
"We sent down many images of the guys to choose from," he said. "Originally, it was for one calendar ("Rough Riders"), but they were so excited about the images, they decided to add a second, "Young Bucks." From there, we discussed the fine tuning, Chris Ward put his feedback in and then, on the second round, we gave our stamp of approval."
The calendars are available at 10Percent.com under the Big Daddy adult line. Retailers can browse calendars by visiting www.villagelighthouse.com/wholesale, or by emailing [email protected].
