CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Pure Play Media and UK-based studio Liquid London this week will release the first title under a new distribution agreement.
Heat & Lust: Postcards to a Pornographer is typical of French photographer-turned-director Jean-Marc Prouveur's provocative, vignette-ish style. In it, Prouveur drools over the sexy houseboy who keeps interrupting his fantasies about the sexual shenanigans that led to the postcards he has received from exotic locations.
Since its inception 10 years ago, Prouveur's Liquid London has developed its own recognizable style in the gay marketplace and has won several awards on the international stage. The company's films are produced from Prouveur's original scripts, and they portray his belief that adult films are no different than any other genre in needing a comprehensive story line to carry the viewer along. Each title contains up to seven scenes that can be viewed separately or as a whole.
Liquid London shoots its videos with digital cameras, but utilizes film lighting to create a high-end look and feel. Morocco, Poland, Italy, Spain, France and the UK are just some of the locations that have played host to Prouveur's productions. The studio plans to release six titles per year through the Pure Play Media arrangement.
