Private to Release "Desperate Househusbands" Sequel

BARCELONA - Private Media Group's gay label, Private Man (a division of Man-size), will release Desperate Househusbands 2 just in time for the holidays: in November in Europe and December in the U.S.

Directed by Tom Bradford, the sequel to last year's Desperate Househusbands follows two stay-at-home men who delight in discovering each other's company while their wives are away. In the six-scene sequel, stars Julian Vincenzo and Fred Faurtin are kicked to the curb by their wives after a private detective reveals their affair. Homeless and penniless, the men will do anything to get jobs and put a roof over their heads.

"The first Desperate Househusbands, released in 2006, has gone on to be one of our top-selling titles," said Private marketing director Giles Hirst. "France was one of the markets [in which] the movie sold particularly well, so that's why we decided to hire Fred Faurtin to star in the movie. Not only is he huge in France, but he is also internationally popular.

"This sequel is expected to perform equally as well as the original movie, because the link with the popular hit TV series proved to be a surefire winner for sales," Hirst continued. "There's great chemistry between Fred and Julian, and Fred confessed that kissing Julian Vincenzo was one of the best kisses he's ever had."

Desperate Househusbands 2 is available in two versions: a single-disc version and a special limited edition version that includes a second disc of extras, including interviews with the cast and director, behind-the-scenes coverage and an extra scene.

In addition to Vincenzo and Faurtin, the movie stars Flavio Valentino, Andrew Moretti, Jeff Halston, Lucio Maverick, Ludovic Canot, Milan Gamiani, Rod Stevens and Steve Hunt.
