In an April 12 press release, promoter/ performer Will Clark announced the spring/ summer 2006 schedule of guest porn stars, studio sponsors, and beneficiaries for his popular weekly Porno Bingo event held in New York City.
The 9 p.m. events are held on Wednesdays at the 9th Ave. Bistro, 693 9th Ave. at 48th St.
Porno Bingo was started in February 2005 by Clark and features four rounds of Bingo each night to raise money for various New York GLBT nonprofits including Visual AIDS, the Gay/ Lesbian Anti-Violence Project, the New York Gay Men’s Chorus, Broadway Cares, Body Positive, and many more including gay sports groups such as Team New York and the Gotham Knights gay rugby team.
Clark brings in a different porn star each week to “guest call” a game or two. "Invariably, the star strips down as more and more money is raised for that week’s nonprofit," Clark said.
Donated prizes include books by Damron, lube by ID Lube, calendars from Foto Factory, passes from Naked Sword and BadPuppy, magazines from Unzipped and AllBoy, among other erotic treats.
Each week a different gay porn studio sponsors the night with four DVD giveaways. Lucas Entertainment, Hot House, Raging Stallion, Massive Studio, and Jet Set are among the studios represented throughout each season. Titan Media regularly sponsors the event with a once a month “Titan Night."
There is no cover charge and each Porno Bingo game card costs $1 per card per game — "one hundred percent of which goes directly to the charity of the week, said Clark. "In March 2006, Bingo raised over $2,000 for five different charities and it’s estimated that over $20,000 has been raised in the fourteen months the event has been held."
Season Five (April 5 - July 12) began last week with appearances by Blu Kennedy and Titan exclusive Jake Deckard.
