LOS ANGELES—The annual leather fest known as Folsom Street Fair will start with a “pop” this year, thanks to Chi Chi LaRue and Sister Roma. The divas are slated to host Pop Goes the Zipper, a kickoff party they describe as “an all-night affair offering debauchery like only San Francisco can bring.” The event is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. Sept. 25 at the infamous Triple Crown Bar.
Porn and pop will meet when LaRue takes control of the DJ booth to spin naughty tunes while Sister Roma introduces special-guest porn stars. The lineup includes Channel 1 Releasing exclusive Jeremy Bilding; Mustang Video exclusive Samuel Colt; Hot House exclusives Kyle King, Paul Wagner and Ethan Wolfe; Raging Stallion exclusives Steve Cruz, Bruno Bond and Ryan Raz; and unattached performers Josh Griffin, Scott Tanner, Wolf Hudson, Tony Aziz, Rob Romoni, Nash Lawler, Tristan Jaxx, Spencer Reed, Rocco Giovanni, Tristan Phoenix, Derek da Silva and Alessio Romero.
Also expected to make a special appearance as guest of honor is Steven Daigle, the studly International Gay Rodeo Association championship bull rider perhaps better known for his appearance in TV’s Big Brother 10. BeBe Sweetbriar will act as official “door diva” for the night.
A $5 cover charge grants access to the event. Proceeds will be donated to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, an order of queer nuns devoted to community service, ministry and outreach to those on the edges and to promoting human rights, respect for diversity and spiritual enlightenment.
