Columnist and editor JC Adams reported yesterday that Kristian Brooks, a popular and accomplished porn star of the 1990s, has died.
The cause was AIDS. Brooks, whose real name was Jason Kanarr, died in a hospice in Colorado. He was 35 years old. No other details are immediately available.
Adams, who had worked with Brooks, said, "I got to know him on the set of Dream Team. He was talkative, bright and always had an anecdote related to his sexcapades that had the cast and crew in stitches. That's how I'll remember him."
Brooks' career spanned most of three years: 1997-99. Among his three dozen movies are Dream Team (Studio 2000), Family Values (Odyssey), Fever (Falcon), Time Cops (Centaur); Hardcore (All Worlds), Prague Rising (Studio 2000), Reform School Confidential (All Worlds); and West Hollywood Hope (Studio 2000).
