WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — GAYVN Award–winning director Phil St. John has launched a new website, PhilStJohnXXX.com , which houses a blog, select behind-the-scenes image galleries, a pay-per-view theater, a DVD store (with synopses, screen grabs and trailers) and a blog.
"I wanted to create a place for my fans to keep track of my work," St. John said. "The website is a great way to interact with them and create into the future."
St. John entered the gay porn industry in 1985. Since then he has produced films for studios including Titan Entertainment, All Worlds Video, Le Salon, Tribal Pulse, Pacific Sun Entertainment and Falcon Studios. Most of the nearly 50 titles bear St. John's signature film noir style.
St. John also has shot footage that was used in mainstream documentaries for NBC and PBS. Some of his works are in the collections of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the New York Public Library, the University of California at Los Angeles' Legacy Collection and the One Institute. He is the only American Film Institute Fellow in the gay adult industry.
St. John said he currently is ramping up production for a new "concept" film to be shot this summer.
