NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - Pacific Sun Entertainment has launched Pacific Sun TV, a video-on-demand website that offers pay-per-minute viewing with no membership or monthly fee requirements.
According to Pacific Sun Production and Marketing Manager Michael LaBarbera, the site was custom-designed to be user-friendly. It incorporates a state-of-the-art video player with full-screen support, three selectable stream qualities, and 24/7 tech support and employs a secure payment system.
At launch, 181 movies were available in the system, but LaBarbera said more "will be added regularly."
Pacific Sun plans to offer a white-label version of the site to other studios in the future.
"We think it's an ideal way for smaller studios to create a tech platform ‘for the studio, of the studio, by the studio' without the extra pain or development costs of doing it on their own," LaBarbera said.
