FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - PZP Productions is moving forward with The Twink Whisperer, which the company plans to street on July 4.
Billed as "a spiritual love story," the plot revolves around a lonely, horny ghost who inhabits a Fort Lauderdale, Fla., gay resort and seduces virgin boys over the course of 80 years.
PZP director Peter Z called the collection of players "a casting coup": Aaron Tyler plays the ghost, and emo-twink Kyros Christian and his real-life boyfriend, Dillon Samuels, play two hippies who attract the ghost's attention in 1976.
"Aaron and I have been trying to work together for over a year now, but something always gets in the way," Peter Z said. "I wrote Oliver Twink for him; however, he couldn't do it due to circumstances beyond our control. Then I received a godsend named Dillon Samuels to replace him in the role, and the rest was magic. Now they are both going to be in the same movie, along with Kyros Christian.
"I adore Kyros, and I've been trying to develop a project worthy of his talents since our last movie together," Peter Z said. "Kyros has a huge following on all the tube websites, with intense fans who go as far as purchasing his soiled underpants. It's amazing."
Unlike earlier films from PZP - notably The Da Vinci Load, BeTwinked and Oliver Twink - The Twink Whisperer will be "camp-light," Peter Z said.
"No Harry Beastt or Misty Eyez chewing up the scenery in this one, or over-the-top John Waters slapstick," he said. "Instead, this is more of a witty, metaphysical love story - loaded with harsh eroticism.
"Don't get me wrong - I love doing campy movies," he added. "But I just wanted to do something a little different this time around."
And different it shall be, with very little dialogue and "an exceedingly simple plotline," according to Peter Z.
The Twink Whisperer will mark not only the first time PZP has shot a feature in high-definition format, but also Tyler's directorial debut. Tyler will helm one of the scenes in the movie and serve as associate producer. He said one of his goals is to take control of his career by co-producing the projects in which he appears.
"I'll probably go through Misty Eyez withdrawal and ask her to do the condom public serve announcement at the beginning of the movie," Peter Z said. "I love that drag queen."
The Twink Whisperer will begin principal photography in early April. PZP longtime friend, Fabscout Entertainment, will be assisting with the casting process - although much of the casting will be done through online social sites, according to Peter Z. He said he prefers to work with fresh-faced newbies. Sammy Case and Sebastian Young both got their starts in PZP movies, and other PZP "discoveries" now have exclusive contracts with Jet Set Men and Falcon Studios .
