ACAPULCO - Twink studio Hyde Park Productions went to Acapulco in February to film its biggest production yet, the two-part Lord of the Boyz. What follows is director Ted McIntyre's diary highlighting the week's doings.
Lord of the Boyz, our twinkish vision of the classic novel, Lord of the Flies, has been six years in the making. Though we have always had great actors and other resources, what we truly lacked was the perfect location. We found it in Acapulco, Mexico, and then began two months of preparations. After our cast was chosen, we began the process of purchasing airline tickets for our actors and expediting their passports.
Everyone met up in Dallas and the next morning we all boarded our flight to begin our adventure. In Acapulco, drivers picked us up in two SUVs and took us to the $20 million, private cliff-side compound we'd rented. Everyone was amazed by the view and majesty of the location.
Monday: After breakfast, we headed down the 180 steps to a private beach to film the opening sequence. Each actor was dressed in an academy uniform, and makeup and "blood" were applied to give the appearance that they'd survived a plane crash.
With large rocks making up most of the beach, the actors had to be very careful in the heavy surf so as not to be injured. During the filming of this sequence we were visited by the Mexican Federal Police because everything looked so real they thought there had been an accident of some sort.
We informed Toby, Cameron, and Max after lunch that they would be filming a threeway and to make sure they were prepared. Producer Doug Knight and I walked them through what we wanted to see in the scene and all the special action details. One of the elements we were to trying to capture was the contrast between the sensuality of order and the animalism of chaos. The boyz captured that essence perfectly and we got some awesome cum-shots.
Tuesday: We gathered Riley, Justin, and Chris for their threeway starting off in an oversized shower and finishing with great tag-team action. We added two more boyz to end the scene with a difficult to film side-by-side fuck that came out great. Later that afternoon we filmed Cameron, Justin, and Max in a threeway in an outside lounging area.
We chose that night to cast Riley and Toby ("The Twins") together in an amazingly hot two-way. The chemistry between them was so perfect it looked like they had grown up together. Toby was very flexible and we were able to film a surprising double-rim scene.
Wednesday: We took the day off to let the actors recharge by taking them on a cruise of Acapulco Bay. They had a blast seeing cliff side homes owned by American movie stars, and migrating whales and a sunset that took the breath away.
Thursday: We decided to make the filming more special by starting off in the morning with Toby and Justin waking up to the beautiful sunshine. We continued with "The Twins" rimming and sucking in a window overlooking our private cove.
Chris, Max, Riley, and Cameron all gave excellent performances in their double two-way. The scene was difficult to film with the dual action, but each couple gave us the different sexual styles we wanted — and, again, some amazing cum-shots.
Friday: We gathered all six boyz to discuss the last and most important scene of the video. Sixways are very difficult to film as the actors tend to pair off, and we didn't want that to happen. With every actor doing exactly what was needed it looked spectacular on film and thus closed the video with a perfect scene.
We celebrated the end of filming by taking all of the actors to a popular seafood restaurant that featured bungee jumping and then to one of the best clubs in the world, The Palladium.
Saturday: Mission accomplished! We said our goodbyes as everyone departed to destinations around the United States.
