Newly Discovered Footage Highlights 'Brett Mycles: Unseen'

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - When Brett Mycles died in his sleep Feb. 25, 2007, at the age of 29, gay fans of straight musclemen mourned. The Houston-born mainstream model who also worked in both gay and straight adult entertainment left behind only a handful of XXX scenes.

Now Jet Set Men has released Bret Mycles: Unseen, a DVD featuring never-before-seen footage. Studio chief Chris Steele discovered the material recently during a routine inventory of the Jet Set vault.

According to Steele, the "lost video" is remarkable not only because it has never been seen in public, but also because it contains the only known footage of Mycles giving head to two of the three guys with whom he was featured in a scene from Prime Cuts 6. No one knows why the footage was cut.

In addition to the previously unseen footage, the DVD features the rest of Mycles' work for Jet Set, some seven different scenes in all. Three comprise wrestling matches filmed in conjunction with Can-Am Productions. Each scene has been re-edited and digitally re-mastered from the original source footage, with complete color correction. All of the material has been matched with contemporary music.

The process was painstaking, Steele said, but it yielded a superior collection of Mycles' work.

"Brett Mycles was one of the biggest stars in porn, so he deserves a definitive, technically perfect collection of his work, and Unseen is definitely it," Steele said.

Added John Tegan, Jet Set's marketing director, "Anyone who is a Brett Mycles fan has to get his hands on Unseen. Shot after shot, you will marvel all over again at the physical perfection that was Brett Mycles."

Included on the DVD is a candid - and at times poignant - behind-the-scenes interview with the nervous would-be star as he prepared to do his first gay adult scene. Also included is a photo array of Mycles' best stills from his work for Jet Set Men, which are a "dream come true" for any Mycles connoisseur to see in a large-screen, high-resolution digital format, according to Steele.

Brett Mycles: Unseen is available at the Jet Set Men website and from Marina Pacific Distributors.
