New Gay-Based, All-Reaching Message Board: XBiz

Saying they want it to integrate the straight and gay adult Internet communities as well as meet the needs of its intended core of gay adult Webmasters and niche site operators, XBiz has launched the Gay Expressway message board.

“From my research of the industry, there is extreme diversity, yet at the end of the day, it is truly one industry," says Xbiz strategic marketing and business development director Lori Z., "and business should reflect that and offer opportunities to network and capitalize on all sectors. Gay. Straight. Whatever and whomever. Gay Expressway is open to all adult webmasters who are serious about expanding and diversifying their business. The time has come to integrate and Gay Expressway is the fast track to make that happen.”

She told AVN.com the idea began practically when she joined XBiz three months earlier.

"Numerous people I'd met so far at parties and networking, the conversations I've had with them, they've been straight, they've been gay, and I didn't find any other site out there that opened up a forum and truly integrated the community," Lori Z. said. "There's a lot of business and a lot of traffic that they have that's a two-way street, so I thought, why not utilize XBiz forums to open that up a little bit?"

She did some research and contacted several companies in the adult gay community, to marshal resources and moderators from that community as a foundation for the new forum. "Steve from DeviantCash, Aly and Holly from Python, they were happy to hear we've opened up a forum for this topic," Lori Z. said. "They're the next (moderators) on board. And I've been getting requests to moderate that board. So that shows we made a step in the right direction."

The name was chosen in line with the street-name motif common among XBiz.com message boards.

According to XBiz Editor in Chief, Stephen Yagielowicz, “ As with all communities, the aim here is not divisiveness or segregation of the adult Webmasters community," said XBiz editor-in-chief Stephen Yagielowicz, "but to provide a forum for the exchange of niche-specific ideas, information, and business opportunities within a vital – and for many Webmasters, untapped – market segment.”
