Mitch Branson Releases Debut Music CD

SAN FRANCISCOCOLT Man Mitch Branson is known for his bodybuilder physique, his come-hither boy-next-door grin and his performances in titles including Tough: Minute Man 30, MuscleHeads, Massive and Inside Out.

Long before he was a gay adult performer, however, Branson was a musician. His debut album, Darkness of Pleasure, recently was released on the Tufo Productions label, and advance reviews are encouraging.

Darkness of Pleasure is an erotic musical experience created with a mixture of mysterious sounds, pulsating beats and sensual vocals,” he said. “I aspired to create an album that takes the listener on a seductive musical journey. The voices in the songs represent different characters, from girls on the prowl to those with broken hearts.”

Branson has been producing music for almost 10 years. Using a four-track mixer and synthesizer, he initially began expressing his abilities as a hobby, often giving his creations to friends who enjoyed the playful combinations of sounds.

Three years ago, Branson returned to school to study digital audio. The challenge of formal studies helped him to grow musically, he said. After creating several productions in class, his instructor encouraged him to produce a full-length CD.

“The pleasure of deep lust or love can be heavenly or hellish, depending on where you are in the continuum,” he said. “I hope you enjoy grooving to the sexual energy and angst expressed in these stories.”

Darkness of Pleasure is available from ReverbNation. Other artists featured on the electronica/dance album include mastering engineer Johannes Luley and vocalists Amanda Dieck and Jonathan Luke. Branson served as lyricist, composer, producer and engineer.
