How fortunate that early this week I ran into Lucas Kazan in line at the post office, and he was just sending me the latest masterpiece he completed with his stable of Italian stallions. Rough/Tender was shot on location in Italy and includes Kazan’s usual sexy standard man Ettore Tosi (one of the nicest foreign stars and most solid performers who ever entered the industry). The new release has some gymnastics-inspired sex that gets rather rough and kinky, all shot in beautiful brick buildings and the Italian countryside. Italians Alex Magnum, Federico D’Angleo and Matthias Viannelli are part of the cast. Visit LucasKazan.com for the trailer.
Kazan has been so busy shooting another new movie he missed the Phoenix Forum conference. He regrets that, because he said the gathering “looks like fun.” Kazan promised to tell me about his new project over lunch soon, and I’ll fill everyone in.
Brent Corrigan is preparing for a “Beach Ball” event scheduled to occur July 3 in Toronto. Hosted in conjunction with the big Toronto Gay Pride festival, the ball is sure to be a centerpiece. The Premiere Artists men from David Forest’s clan are expected to participate.
Pornography: A Thriller promises to be an interesting mainstream look at gay porn. The flick is about a famous porn star, Mark Anton, who suddenly disappears at the height of his fame. Reviews on the gay film festival circuit have been fantastic for first-time director David Kittredge’s style, which resembles something Cronenberg or Lynch might have imagined. The movie is scary and sexy (like Raging Stallion’s Focus/ReFocus), and there’s plenty of full-frontal male nudity, but alas, no actual sex. Pornography: A Thriller is expected to hit theaters in mid-April, after a New York opening.
My pals from MightyMen.com threw a great show in Washington, D.C., last weekend, as a benefit for a group that provides free condoms in the D.C. area. Hot pictures of the event and the public service announcement for DC Fuck Kit can be found at the website DCFukIt.Org. The group is a non-profit organization that educates gay men about how to use condoms and distributes prophylactics as part of the fight against HIV-AIDS.
