Mickey's Quickies | Hot House Scene Shakes Things Up, Jett Blakk Spoofs a Novel, New Red Eagle Title Delayed, More Gay Porn Gossip

Who said Hot House doesn’t have storyline videos anymore? Sure, owner Steven Scarborough has done his share of great storyline videos in the past—the last one was Justice in 2006—but the trend has been to steer away from porn with stories.

However, a few good acting chops sneak in to a production every once in a while. Recently, on the set of the video Movers and Shakers, two performers set up an extemporaneous scene that ended up being very realistic—and hot.

Hot House exclusive Vince Ferelli, a bisexual superstar, and very sexy Josh Griffin were supposed to break into a warehouse with the intention of purloining some loot, only to find the place is empty.

“It was a cute scene, and they didn’t have any scripted lines, but Steven told them to just go for it after telling them the set-up,” Hot House Art Director Michael Roma said. “They had a lot of fun coming up with their own lines and really developing characters before a really hot sex scene.”

For those who still like to see some kind of connection or personality between the stars, this is an excellent example.

Award-winning director Jett Blakk, known for his creativity and the comedy he injects into his gay porn titles, said he’s in the process of writing a new movie based on a familiar story, but he has to keep the project mum for now.

Blakk is known for his clever epics, most recently Endgame with Chad Hunt, Dirty Little Sins and Unspeakable.

“I’m developing a big-budget film for Dirty Bird Pictures, loosely based on a famous novel we probably all had to read in high school,” Blakk said. “That’s all I can say right now, but the production should start in October.”

Red Eagle Films director Wolfgang Bang is a believer that the economic downturn has hurt everyone, but especially the small porn operations.

“I’m a one-man operation so it’s tough to compete, especially with all the other fisting titles out there,” he said.

Noted for his fisting titles, Bang said what was considered kinky when he began filming in the genre 10 years ago now is considered mainstream in comparison to today’s extreme content. Consequently, his latest title, In the Zone—originally scheduled for release in July—won’t drop until early fall.

“I’m hoping the economy gets better by then, so I’m delaying the release for a better market,” said Bang.

That doesn’t mean he’s stopped filming, nor does it mean he’s stopped looking for new talent and new guys to shoot. He has, however, continued to eschew bareback opportunities. Although he was offered chances to direct barebacking titles, Bang said he doesn’t want to go there. He defends bareback works, though, saying he is against censorship.

“I don’t do barebacking,” he said. “I want to show hot sex that is safe.”

Lucas Entertainment is making good use of the talents of the studio’s two new Israeli finds. Matan Shalev and Avi Dar, both of whom star in Men of Israel, are now in New York and prepping for a Labor Day shoot on Fire Island, where Michael Lucas has shot many movies before.

The romantic new project, tentatively entitled Obsession, will depict the two Israelis making love, but also fighting. Shalev holds a brown belt in karate, and some of his martial arts skills will be used in the movie.

But there won’t be any guns, according to Lucas.

“I don’t like guns,” he said.

Lucas plans to shoot the film in a week and then take Shalev and Dar to Israel with him at the end of the month. There, he plans to shoot the feature Inside Israel as well as something for the studio’s Raunch line and a new title for the Auditions series.

  • HomoEmo.com, billed as “the first gay Emo porn site,” has launched. The destination features shaggy, sulky British lads who jack off for the camera and play with each other. Generally, “emo” indicates overly-emotional guys who are easy to cry and overly sensitive. It had to happen sometime.
  • COLT Studio Group found a beautiful new muscle stud with has a flawless body and great cock. The studio plans to introduce Johnny Cruise in its website’s video-on-demand section before he gets shown off in an upcoming title. Fans shouldn’t be disappointed.
  • One of the scenes on the new Bijou Video compilation In Heat features former superstar and current Raging Stallion director J.D. Slater. Yes, Slater still looks good, but it’s been a century since he performed in front of the camera—maybe not literally, but he hasn’t performed since the 1990s. The short film, called Noon, stars Slater with Bobby Madison and Brian Michaels as they take a break from an aerobics class and fool around in from of the mirrors on the mats.
