Throughout the month of May, BelAmiOnline.com will tease viewers with clips from the studio’s mammoth 27-man porn shoot on a South African beach. According to the studio, “the world’s biggest circle jerk” features 27 cumshots and 18 feet of cock.
The history of the project goes back to William Higgins’ 25-guy shoot for 1983’s Class Reunion. Higgins set a goal of beating Falcon’s record-setting release featuring 24 guys.
Bel Ami plans to release a 14-guy, full-on orgy later this year, but for now, all the studio will show is a lot of masturbating with some kissing on the side.
Four photographers, five camera people and a documentary camera were in attendance during the shoot.
“Well, it’s happened,” mainstream playwright and longtime GAYVN judge and reviewer Robert Patrick wrote in a recent email. “My savings have reached The Point of No Return, and unless the male/male XXX business recoups miraculously, I will be on the street as of Nov. 1. I haven’t been on the streets since Albuquerque in 1959, and it wasn’t pleasant then. I don’t like to think what it’s like now.”
In response, Patrick is selling his famous plays on CD and a historic lecture on DVD. The lecture, “Birthplace of Gay Theatre,” chronicles the erotic live shows at Caffe Cino. The CDs contain Patrick’s super-erotic Off-Broadway Temple Slave and the “copiously illustrated autobiography” Film Moi (or Narcissus in the Dark). The DVD is $20; the two CDs are $15 each.
