Michael Lucas Profiled in "The New Republic"

NEW YORK - Lucas Entertainment president and chief executive officer Michael Lucas is the first gay porn entrepreneur ever to be profiled in the influential journal of conservative opinion, The New Republic. The article, entitled "Hard Right," contains the most in-depth analysis to date of Lucas' controversial political opinions.

Mentioned on the cover of the current issue with the tagline "The (Neocon) Kingpin of Gay Porn," the article can be read in its entirety online.

"I am very proud to be featured in my absolute favorite magazine," Lucas said. "I have subscribed to The New Republic since 1997 when I arrived in America. This is a magazine which I can relate to much better than most other publications. [Its] views very often echo my own."

Lucas is a native of Moscow, Russia. According to his profile, he emigrated to New York in 1995.

Headquartered in Washington, D.C., The New Republic was founded in 1914 with a mission to provide its readers with an intelligent, stimulating and rigorous examination of American politics, foreign policy and culture. The magazine is published twice monthly.
