BOSTON - Manhunt.net will extend its brand in June with the debut of an amateur gay porn site, OnTheHunt .
"We are thrilled that Manhunt.net members have expressed such a strong interest in the project," said Adam Segel, the company's chief executive officer. "Hundreds have submitted applications to appear in videos, and we feel the amateur video product will be something very unique, exciting and hot."
Segel said Gary Blumenthal has been hired as OnTheHunt's webmaster.
"Gary brings more than 10 years of experience in adult-site marketing and pay-site management, and he will be instrumental in helping us achieve our vision," Segel said.
OnTheHunt will launch June 1 through Manhunt's newly established sister company, OLB Media LLC. The site will feature hookups of Manhunt members filmed by gay porn stars. Collin O'Neal and Jeremy Hall will be the first adult film stars to appear on the site, Segel said. More stars will be announced soon.
In January, Manhunt began an undercover recruitment campaign inviting select members to appear in the first OnTheHunt videos. The company offered $1,000 compensation and "the chance to have a famous porn star visit their home to film it."
The Web design company Blue Fly Adult was awarded the design contract for both OnTheHunt and its affiliate site. Blue Fly Adult also will be developing a state-of-the-art content management system for OLB Media, Segel said.
An OnTheHunt blog will launch in mid April. The blog will chart the progress of the site and allow readers to offer their suggestions for final construction of OnTheHunt.
"We want to encourage member interaction on OnTheHunt.com," said Blumenthal. "The site is an extension of Manhunt. We see it as another way to join in the hunt, but more as a voyeur. OnTheHunt allows guys to watch other men make the kill.
"Ultimately, OnTheHunt is by Manhunt members, for Manhunt members," he added. "Guys know what they want, and we know how to give it to them."
