Superbrand Private Video, which had discontinued its gay ManSize line a year ago, announced in a press release today that it is reviving and relaunching the line as Private Man. The line will sit alongside the already established ManSize and Private ManStars lines.
The new label's first title is Desperate Househusbands, a tongue-in-cheek version of the U.S. TV series, Desperate Housewives.
Directed by Tom Bradford and starring ten east European hunks, the two-disc DVD also contains extras that include a bonus scene and interviews with the stars and director.
“The gay line had been extremely successful in the past, so we decided to revive it,” said brand manager Giles Hirst. “The strategy is to widen our gay consumer base by producing high-quality, story-driven movies on the Private Man brand. Our ManSize line will feature harder gay sex and be themed, with less emphasis on dialogue. And the Private ManStars line will continue to feature collections of scenes, new material, and interviews with our best-selling gay stars.”
A special mini-site, Man-Size.com/Househusbands, has been created for Desperate Househusbands, Hirst said, "with free downloadable hardcore images from the movie, interviews and images of the stars, downloadable wallpapers — so you can choose your favorite husband — behind-the-scenes footage, and an interview with the director, Tom Bradford."
The desperate househusbands are Julian Vincenzo, Norbert Somelay, Tobias Wares, Rick Bauer, Matt Colmar, David Salieri, Elliot Force, George Vidanov, James Jordan, and Rod Stevens.
