When Maleflixxx and Hot House Entertainment simultaneously released their new epic Justice on DVD and video-on-demand, sales in both media dramatically increased.
“We have always known that a concurrent VOD and DVD release would be wildly successful,” remarked Eric Johnson, president of Sureflix Digital Distribution and owner of Maleflixxx. “When we were approached with the opportunity to prove our theory with Hot House’s Justice, we knew that we had found the perfect vehicle for our marketing and promotion expertise.”
Maleflixxx’s collaboration with Hot House Entertainment stars GAYVN award-winning Shane Rollins. Justices’ episodic VOD release introduces one new scene per week. Previously, Maleflixxx episodically released Trunks 2 and The Missing via VOD. “We have been working closely with the Maleflixxx team over past few months,” remarked Brent Smith, vice president and creative director of Hot House Entertainment. “After seeing great results with episodic releases of Trunks 2 and The Missing, we had no doubt of their ability to promote Justice without affecting DVD sales.”
Higher sales during the dual release also have been seen in traditional DVD-retailer and consumer sales.
