TORONTO—Maleflixxx has released a new promotional tool the company says will “revolutionize how affiliates drive traffic and increase their conversions.”
Called Clip Share, the tool comprises a branded media player that allows webmasters to place 20-second clips of Maleflixxx featured movies and display the clips on their web properties. The player not only shows the movie’s box cover and the producer’s logo, but also allows end-users to rate the clip and click thru to the cinema to rent the scene.
“We are very proud to release Clip Share to our affiliates knowing it will be a user-friendly tool that will help them increase their conversions,” said Eric Johnson president of Maleflixxx parent company Sureflix Digital Distribution, an operating unit of Barecelona-based Private Media Group. “This tool is unlike any other currently on the market and will prove beneficial not to only our affiliates, but also to our studio partners and end consumers alike.”
Johnson also said Clip Share does not require the user to wait for a clip to download. He also gave the product props for an easy-to-use navigation interface and. Johnson attributed both the instant-loading and navigational efficacy to Microsoft Silverlight technology.
Content owners should appreciate the anti-piracy features built into the system, he added. Because no more than one 20-second clip may be created per scene, savvy pirates will be unable to steal scenes by stitching them together.
Maleflixxx plans to make available in the near future a version of Clip Share that will allow consumers to embed the player in their blogs, forums and other pages. According to Johnson, that product’s launch will mark the first time a video-on-demand company has provided end-users with a way to create and share clips on the web.
