Maleflixxx Donates $1K to TitanMen/Folsom Fund

SAN FRANCISCO - As part of its "Community Giving" program, Maleflixxx presented a $1,000 donation to the TitanMen/Folsom Fund. The donation was presented Sept. 28 during the 2008 Folsom Street Fair by Maleflixxx founder and chief technology officer Eric Schannen.

The TitanMen/Folsom Fund was established by Titan Media and Folsom Street Events 2007 and provides grants directly to organizations focusing on gay men's health issues. Folsom Street Events matches all donations.

During 2007 the TitanMen/Folsom Fund donated more than $27,000, and hopes to top $30,000 in 2008.

"With budgets being slashed all over the country for non-profits and HIV/AIDS on the rise, particularly in young gay men of color, it is even more important for leaders in the community to stand up and lend a hand," Titan Media founder Bruce Cam said. "Maleflixxx has proven time and time again that they support the gay community, both in deed and in action, and their donation is greatly appreciated."

Maleflixxx parent company Sureflix Digital Distribution is dedicated to supporting the communities in which it operates, a spokesman said. The company recently conducted a survey of its partners to find out what organizations they support. The donation to the TitanMen/Folsom Fund was one result.

"The Folsom Street Fair is always an extraordinary event that is dedicated to serving the alternative communities," Schannen said. "Maleflixxx is always pleased to donate to organizations that are continually giving back to the public, and TitanMen/Folsom Fund does exactly that."
