Jett Blakk, Ty Hudson Team for <i>Dante</i>

Award-winning director/ writer Jett Blakk and porn stud Ty Hudson announced yesterday that they will co-direct a gay XXX movie inspired by 13th-century Italian poet Dante Alighieri's, The Divine Comedy.

The film will be Blakk's first collaborative effort under his Red Devil Entertainment label. "This is the first movie I've directed that I haven't written," Blakk explained. "Ty's enthusiasm really impressed me. He had a script he was very excited about. I helped him during the drafting to make it more 'porn friendly.' It's a very different kind of adult film, very personal, which is why Ty is co-directing it with me. It's metaphysical with Gothic themes, and raises questions about who and what we are as men."

Hudson's script explores the concept of "graphic cinema," combining hot sex and the richness of the characters' lives to provide a more three-dimensional picture of those underlying concepts, Blakk said.

"The story concerns Dante (played by Logan Robbins), a young man at a crossroads in his life," Hudson explained. "Diversions tear at his relationship with boyfriend Joss (played by Trent Atkins). Unknown to him, his fate is being manipulated by forces he does not yet understand. It's the beginning of a wicked game of karmic chess. Dante must decide whether to accept his destiny or refuse it."

Hudson will play three roles in the movie which also stars Eddie Stone, Damon Phoenix, Zachary Pierce, Chad Hunt, and Trevor Knight.

Dante will be released in Spring 2007 through Channel 1 Releasing.

The movie can also be purchased at RedDevilWorld.com. Behind the scenes info can be read on Jett Blakk's blog, BlakksBlog.com.
