Jet Set Launches Download-to-Own Service

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Jet Set Men has launched two new web-based services aimed at providing consumers with more value for their porn buck. D2O allows customers to purchase scenes online without digital-rights management or time-lockout concerns, thereby affording flexibility in when, how and where consumers view the material they own. Quick Jack provides low-cost access to some of Jet Set’s most popular scenes on a rotating basis.

D2O, or download-to-own, offers individual scenes in any format for as little as $3.49 each. Consumers may download materials as often as they want for as long as they want, and everything they download is theirs to keep forever. If the scenes are lost or erased, customers can download the scenes again, at no charge, as long as they maintain at least a free membership at the Jet Set website.

Once a scene is purchased, D2O allows the buyer to download it to a laptop, a Mac or PC desktop and/or a smartphone as often as he wants at no extra charge.

According to Jet Set honcho Chris Steele, D2O eliminates all of the negative aspects of digital content, including DRM, time-based lockouts and buffering. He said he expects the removal of the roadblocks to relieve porn consumers of much of the frustration and fear that accompanies buying electronically delivered products. He also believes the program will spur ardent porn fans to start digital collections of their favorite porn scenes, especially when they know they can retrieve, at any time, scenes they may have lost due to equipment failures or changes in equipment.

“D2O is the ultimate porn on demand that you get to keep and use anytime, anywhere, and in any format, forever,” Steele said.

Quick Jack was designed for a different type of consumer. For those who would rather have a variety of porn that is pre-selected and constantly rotated, the $9.95 monthly service provides ready access to a variety of porn they don’t have to download and store.

“While these products are aimed at slightly different types of porn consumers, they have a common goal: giving customers value for their hard-earned dollar by providing only top-quality porn in the latest formats that is delivered to them at a place and time that’s easy, secure and convenient for them,” Steele said. “D2O is geared towards tech-savvy porn consumers who want the flexibility to watch porn on their iPhone or their laptop or both; Quick Jack is a competitively priced service that allows viewers to see a rotating series of new scenes each week. What they have in common is value.

“With a tough economy, we all know that every dollar counts these days,” he added. “These two services allow consumers to pay less to get a variety of high-quality porn and also pay only for the porn they want.”
