LOS ANGELES - Jason Ridge has begun production on his second Ridgeline Films movie, "Beyond Malibu." Dylan Ryan, who directed Ridgeline's first film, "A Rising Star," also took the reins on "Malibu."
Ridge, president and CEO of Ridgeline, is opening the set to the press this time around. He says of his first shoot, "With the stress of the first movie, I wanted to keep it a closed set to make sure everything ran smoothly. Now that we're on to the second shoot, I'd like to invite everyone to come see what we're about."
Ridge is currently laying the groundwork for his company by offering health care for full-time employees and only hiring gay men, refusing gay-for-pay models, so that the studio is owned by, operated by, and starring gay men.
"Beyond Malibu" stars Ridge, Mason Wyler, Damian Rios, Trent Peters, Antonio Milan, Blu Kennedy, Danny Vox, and Meliek Taylor. The film will shoot through Friday, September 28, in both Encino and Malibu, Calif.
"A Rising Star" will be released this fall.
