Studio 2000 president and CEO David McKay told GAYVN today that J.C. Adams is joining the studio as Director of Production on August 1. McKay said Adams will be responsible for all aspects of pre- and post-production.
Adams replaces gay XXX industry legend Scott Masters who is retiring from the company.
With a varied career that began as a reviewer for Adult Video News in 1995, J.C. Adams is a longtime chronicler of the gay porn scene. His many endeavors include the syndicated news/ gossip column The Adams Report by J.C. Adams, editorship of various publications including the Adam Gay Video Directory, and as a director for All Worlds Video and RAD Video.
Adams' nonfiction book, 'It Just Happened!': A First-Hand History of the Gay Porn Industry, will be published in late 2007.
“J.C. Adams is a perfect fit for Studio 2000 due to his broad background in the industry,” said McKay. “Replacing Scott Masters is a daunting task, but I’m confident with J.C. Adams running production and Chad Donovan handling model development, Studio 2000 will continue to attract major talent and deliver movies that set the standard for the industry.“
"I'm happy and excited to join David's new team at Studio 2000," said Adams. "I respect and admire what Scott Masters and John Travis have accomplished as industry innovators; I get to work in porn for a living in large part due to their trailblazing. I look forward to helping David and the team burnish the Studio 2000 legacy."
