Writer/editor/columnist J.C. Adams has been named as editor of Knight Publications' Adam Gay Video Directory and XXX Showcase following the departure of Doug Lawrence who wrote and edited the publications for nine years.
Lawrence, also GAYVN Editor for the past two years, said, "It's been an exhilarating two years, doing both jobs, but I'm sort of exhilarated out. I'd like my nights and weekends back. J.C. Adams and I have been friends and colleagues for nearly a decade and I can't think of a better editor to take over the reins."
Lawrence will continue as GAYVN Editor. "Now I'll be able to focus my energy on GAYVN from nine-to-midnight instead of just nine-to-nine," he quipped.
The Adam Gay Video Directory, a consumer title that is published once a year, contains 250 gay-XXX reviews and a gallery of more than 200 working gay-porn stars. The XXX Showcase is a monthly consumer publication that features layouts from current gay-XXX movies.
"The Directory is the consumer-industry Bible, and I'm pleased and honored to be able to take over for my friend, Doug Lawrence," said Adams. "He set a very high standard that I plan to maintain. Now, excuse me, I have some movies to start reviewing..."
