NEWARK, NJ—Distribution giant International Video Distributors LLC and gay adult studio ASG Entertainment have reached an agreement under which IVD will serve as the worldwide distributor for ASG’s titles.
The relationship will begin with an expanded re-release of ASG’s debut title, South Beach Diaries. Originally streeted in February, the movie has been renamed South Beach Diaries: Exposed in order to highlight the additional material included in the two-disc set. The new content comprises behind-the-scenes footage featuring what ASG founder Frank Fuder called “some very private, intimate moments between former ASG exclusives Brad Star and Angel Skye.”
Star and Skye recently departed the studio amid professional controversy, Fuder reported.
“After [a period of] speculation, viewers will be able to witness the truth behind the saga that has seemed to captivate an industry,” he said. “This footage was never meant to be seen. No one at ASG even knew the footage existed until recently. This tape is being released to show the true, unadulterated side of these two troubled former porn stars.”
Fuder also said he’s particularly happy to have his studio’s products picked up by IVD, a 23-year-old company with three warehouses located in the central U.S. ASG, founded in August 2008, is small and new to the adult industry compared to some of the other studios represented by IVD, Fuder said, but he hopes to change that.
“This deal will undoubtedly increase ASG’s national and international exposure, which will in effect only serve to drive sales to new levels,” he said. “With eight new titles already produced, we are poised to release two new titles per month with hopes of increasing this number to three per month in the upcoming year.”
