LAS VEGAS - Damien Crosse stood outside club Krave on Friday night, his tight Titan Men tank top not enough to keep the cold away as he waited to get inside for the VIP reception of HustlaBall. "It's going to be a long night," he said with a smile, as fellow Titan Man Diesel Washington stood alongside him trying to stay warm.
They were two of many stars that attended the reception that kicked off the event's fourth year in Las Vegas, a gathering of porn stars, hustlers, pimps and rockers coinciding with AVN's annual Adult Entertainment Expo.
After speaking with red carpet host Angel Benton of JustUsBoys.com, Chi Chi LaRue took over DJ duties, working the crowd into a groove. "Let those motherfuckers in...we need to make some money!" she shouted as the crowd filtered in. "Have fun! Everybody suck some cock!"
Performers Riley Burke, Sean Preston and Noah Driver (three of many FabScout performers) got the dancing started, and a bevy of stars followed. Highlights included the Jet Set Men (Aaron James, Guy Parker, Dean Phoenix and Jesse Santana) moving to Britney Spears and Carrie Underwood, while Shane Allen and Zack Rockwood found the perfect grind together. But the biggest rise came from Cole Ryan, whose bulging white boxer briefs caught the eyes of everyone.
The crowd also included Titan Man Dean Flynn, who was soaking up the fun and enjoying his recent GAYVN Award nominations, including Best Newcomer. "It was a complete surprise," he said. "I would have never guessed."
Brent Meredith of Maleflixxx enjoyed the action, even if it wasn't as raunchy as its European counterpart: "When I saw the live fisting demonstration in Germany a few years ago, I thought, ‘That's what HustlaBall is all about,'" he said with a smile.
Lucas Entertainment exclusive Jonathan Vargas was another hit, ditching his tight yellow shorts - but not his suspenders - as he mounted the stage for a memorable set. He also shined at the main event with more moves, and then danced as an acrobatic performance (one of the evening's highlights) had the crowd clapping furiously.
Jake Deckard also performed an extensive set, teasing the crowd in his kilt before donning football pads and throwing out DVDs to the crowd. Other performers like Dallas Reeves (wearing a tie and not much else) and Ralph Woods also took the stage. The action continued well into the early hours of the morning.
The evening's festivities also included appearances by comedian/musician Jonny "The Gay Pimp" McGovern (of Logo's The Big Gay Sketch Comedy Show), more DJ spins from Brett Henrichson and Micky Friedmann, emcee Willam Belli (Cherry Peck on Nip/Tuck) and a preview of the 2008 International Escort Awards. The action continues Saturday night with the Dirty Secret Party, the official HustlaBall after-party at the Blue Moon Resort.
