Hot House Signs Paul Wagner

SAN FRANCISCO - Paul Wagner has joined the roster of contract performers at gay adult studio Hot House Entertainment.

Wagner's discovery seemed almost serendipitous, according to Hot House president Steven Scarborough.

Independently, both Scarborough and Hot House vice president Brent Smith were stunned by Wagner's sex appeal when they spotted the 5-foot-11-inch, 200-pound looker in a West Hollywood Starbucks a few months ago. Neither Hot House honcho expected to receive an application for employment from Wagner. Nevertheless, one arrived in late February with an endorsement from Hot House exclusive Johnny Gunn.

"We were already fully cast for [upcoming leather title] Skuff 4, but when Paul's pictures came in, we knew his look was perfect for this movie," Scarborough said. "So we moved fast. We literally booked him and flew him to San Francisco the next day."

Good looks and sex appeal aren't the only criteria for becoming one of the Men of Hot House, though, Smith said.

"Our exclusives are chosen because they can perform, and Paul's explosive performance with scene mate Josh West proved that he had the goods," Smith revealed.

The day after the scene shoot, Wagner made the decision to sign with Hot House. He said the choice was easy.

"I had already heard great things from Johnny about how friendly and professional the company was, but when I saw how amazing the studio and sets were, I knew I wanted to be part of Hot House," Wagner said.

Wagner will make his first public appearance as a Hot House exclusive during the GAYVN Awards weekend, March 27-28 in San Francisco. Fans eager to get a first glimpse of Paul can meet him Friday night at the Hot House GAYVN Awards pre-show pub crawl. Wagner and fellow Hot House exclusives plan to hang out at the Lookout in the Castro.

Skuff 4, the latest in the award-winning leather series from Hot House Video, is slated for an April release online in the Hot House Backroom. The site, which Cybersocket recently named Best Video Company Website for the second year in a row, features first-run movies not yet available on DVD or anywhere else.

Skuff 4 is slated for DVD release in June.

In addition to Wagner and Gunn, the Men of Hot House include Vince Ferelli, Alex Collack, Tony Mecelli, Ross Hurston, Ty LeBeouf, Kyle King, Luke Cassidy, Ethan Wolfe and Evan Matthews.
