Hot House, Gay Chicago Magazine to Co-host Inaugural Party

CHICAGO - Gay Chicago Magazine, producer of the Grabby Awards, will inaugurate a new tradition this year by hosting in conjunction with Hot House Entertainment a "Welcome to Chicago Party" on Thursday.

The magazine intends to have each year's party co-hosted by the studio that received the Grabby for Best Picture the year before. Hot House's Justice received the honors in 2007. The studio has received 26 nominations for 2008 Grabbys.

The event will begin at 7 p.m. at Spin in Boystown and continue until 9 p.m. Raffles and porn giveaways are included.

While in town for the Grabbys, Hot House also will have a presence in the Leather Market at International Mr. Leather. Hot House exclusives Francesco D'Macho, Ty LeBeouf, Johnny Gunn and Ross Hurston will be in the Hot House booth to sign autographs, chat with fans and administer lashings to anyone misbehaving, a company spokesperson said. In addition, directors Steven Scarborough, Robert Drake and Gabriel Cortes will answer fans' questions.

"The industry has had to make some difficult cuts in promotional budgets this year due to the economic downturn," said Hot House vice president and creative director. "Missing IML was simply not an option. Our fans have come to expect this opportunity to hang with our exclusives, and we love the opportunity to talk with them at length and get a sense of how we're doing."
