Hollywood is Kinky, but that's Good News for Porn Stars

NEW YORK - The Jan. 12 issue of In Touch magazine reveals another one of Hollywood's dirty little secrets: Stars and celebrities can be kinky - really kinky.

But that can be good for business within the oft-maligned, looked-down-upon juggernaut that runs much of the entertainment industry in Porn Valley, New York and Miami. Particularly for gay adult entertainers, escort work apparently abounds.

According to private detective and adult industry insider Paul Barresi, mainstream stars and celebrities often turn to escorts because sex professionals know how to be discreet and don't attach strings to one-night stands. What closeted, über-masculine matinee idol wants the world - or even his wife - to know he enjoys wearing women's underwear, playing the sex slave or rolling in the hay with another man?

Lucas Entertainment chief executive officer Michael Lucas told In Touch "at least 95 percent of porn stars also escort. There are many escort agencies full of them, catering to wealthy clients."

Ryan Raz, who has appeared in Lucas videos, said the celebrity escort biz brings in big bucks and probably will continue to do so despite economically difficult times.

"As long as people in Hollywood have a dirty, perverted side, they will seek out sex workers," he said.
