CHATSWORTH, Calif. - High Octane Media and Pulse Distribution have re-released Ransom, one of High Octane's biggest hits of 2007, on HD DVD. The title is thought to be the first gay adult movie to be released in the next-generation high-definition format.
Originally released in a standard-definition edition in April 2007, the HD DVD issue already has taken off quickly with retailers eager for gay HD product, according to Pulse vice president of sales Janet T.
"High Octane has established a strong reputation with our customers as a quality brand, and Ransom was a perfect choice for their first HD DVD title," she said.
The HD DVD release of Ransom, produced in conjunction with DVD-authoring company Dimension DVD, stars Steve Hunt, Jack Wright and Ian Lynch in a story that sees swarthy soldier Julian Veneziano kidnapped by a small army of handsome, horny hunks.
