Helix to Begin In-House Distribution

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - In a bid to increase its profile in domestic and foreign markets, Helix Studios has begun distributing its own content through a new division, Helix Studios Direct.

The company has been a client of Marina Pacific Distribution for four years, and that relationship will not change, according to marketing director, head of distribution and buyer Justin Parker. Helix credits Marina Pacific with giving the then-unknown studio a leg up in the industry in its early days.

"We've had a very good relationship with [Marina Pacific], and we don't want that to change," Parker said.

Regardless who distributes Helix's 8teenBoy (twink), Helix (bareback), Fratboy (college guys), Latin Studs (Latino) and Spank This (spanking) lines, he said he's excited about developing a more personal relationship with wholesalers and retailers as the company "makes a heavy push" into Europe, in particular.

"And we're offering some very competitive pricing," he noted.

In addition to content production and distribution, Helix also maintains a successful affiliate program at Helix Cash. The program offers five exclusive websites (with a new one for the Latin Studs line to debut soon), an all-access pass, payouts of $35 per sign-up or 50% revshare, a webmaster-referral program worth 10% of referred sales, cascading billing and negotiated rates for high-converting traffic.
