New "infotainment pro-sumer" company Gay Porn Space has launched a free information/entertainment website, GayPornSpace.com, designed to be a one-stop source for “all that is gay.”
According to the launch announcement, the free “pro-sumer” site will serve the entertainment industry professional (XXX and mainstream), "but more importantly, engage the end user or customer. This larger consumer audience generates the revenue for the industry. Gay Porn Space intends to be a space where the industry can gauge consumer reaction, response and trends — as well as develop sales and target consumers."
The main site topics include news coverage; in-depth stories (covering all aspects of the gay world from 2257 regulations, new productions, special events); movie previews (featuring links to just- and about-to-be-released top movies and to the production company and dedicated websites); and a blog.
GPS intends its blog to be a free-form space "to editorialize and talk about anything that isn’t ‘hard’ news. The Gay Porn Space blog is dedicated to the ‘behind-the-scenes’ aspects of the gay world, including adult production. Unlike some other sites, it will not indulge in speculative commentary or participate in debates with other sites or individuals."
Other features include a "Stars" page with websites of porn stars who have created professional sites, a "Studios" page promoting top studios and providing a comprehensive guide to studios throughout the world, and an "On Air" page.
"With gay radio, television and satellite communications growing rapidly, Gay Porn Space has dedicated a page so you can stay connected no matter where you are, or what medium you are using."
There are also an "Events" page listing everything from circuit parties to AIDS events worldwide and a "Sites" page listing a "hand-picked, select group of sites by the webmaster that are of a quality worth visiting."
Gay Porn Space stresses that mail lists are confidential and not for sale or shared for any outside marketing purposes. "The service assures that contacts are double-opted-in so that no spamming takes place. The site is softcore and family-friendly, with 2257 warnings and software compliant to prevent access where parents have locked parental controls on their computers.
"Studios, stars, and webmasters should familiarize themselves with the site, and include [email protected] on their PR lists to be included on any appropriate pages."
