Gay porn star Johnny Rey has died. As reported yesterday evening by columnist J.C. Adams, the cause was testicular cancer and "advanced AIDS." Johnny Rey, whose real name was Rhett Palmer, was 42.
A very popular performer in the 1990s, Rey also had a career as porn film director. One of his last appearances was in 1999's Nude Science for performer/director Dino Phillips' company, Great Dane Productions.
A prolific performer, Rey appeared in dozens of movies, including Male Triangle, Midnight Run, Posing Strap, Romeo and Julian, Toilet Tramps, and While I Was Sleeping.
There is no immediate news about a memorial service.
