LOS ANGELES—Show organizers for GAYVN @ Internext have announced a seminar change. The "It's an App App World" seminar, scheduled for Monday, January 19 from 11 a.m. to noon, is being replaced with a Gay AMA (Ask Me Anything), featuring Free Speech Coalition CEO Diane Duke and attorney Karen Tynan, who will be taking questions on any subject of significant interest to attendees.
The session was hastily put together in order to provide a rare opportunity for members of the industry to explore current and controversial issues facing gay pornographers and talent, including questions about the recent HIV cases in Las Vegas, condoms on set, testing protocols, issues surrounding PrEP treatments, and standards of safety, to name a few.
This is an industry-only session; adult and mainstream media will be prohibited from attending.
"Considering the amount of talent and producers who will be in town, we're expecting a good showing for this panel," said AVN's Timothy Ferencz, who is coordinating the AMA. "We're also expecting a dynamic and important discussion that the gay side of the industry really needs to start having now."
Anyone with questions about the seminars or anything else related to GAYVN @ Internext, which runs concurrent with boring old straight Internext, January 17-20 at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, can email [email protected].
