GAYVN Revamps, Focuses on Consumers in Addition to the Industry

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - GAYVN magazine, the voice of the gay adult entertainment industry, has undergone changes to its editorial focus and distribution that will make the publication more relevant to industry insiders and consumers, according to editor in chief Harker Jones.

At the top of the list among the modifications is a refocusing of the magazine's editorial content.

"We've expanded our target audience to include consumers," Jones said. "To meet their needs, we've added lots of features and fun to the mix: things like drink recipes (because we gays love our cocktails), photos from gAy-list parties, exciting travelogues about locations domestic and abroad, Q&As with your favorite performers and much, much more."

In order to reach gay consumers, beginning with September's issue GAYVN will be distributed quarterly at retail establishments, restaurants and clubs in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

"That means even more distribution for our advertisers and the industry," Jones said.

GAYVN editorial content also will begin appearing in AVN magazine beginning with the July issue.

"This move provides more reach for our advertisers, more focus for our writers and more convenience for our retailers," Jones said. "Plus, with this change, our advertisers will now enjoy a much wider qualified distribution at the same great rates.

"We're excited about all these changes and trust our readers will be, too," he continued. "As always, we welcome reader and advertiser input about anything and everything."
