CHATSWORTH, Calif. - In order to accommodate the rush from webmasters, the deadline for 2009 GAYVN Awards pre-nominations has been extended for webmasters and web-content producers only until the close of business this Friday, Jan. 30.
This year's GAYVN Awards categories have expanded to recognize Websites and Web performers. The new categories are: Best Amateur Website, Best Twink Website, Best Bear Website, Best Web Performer of the Year, and Best Website of the Year.
To suggest pre-nominations, webmasters and web-content producers should send an email requesting a user name and password to [email protected].
"You are free to suggest as much as you like in each category," said a GAYVN Awards rep. "Do note, however, that being shrewd about your suggestions will yield a more desirable end result than creating a laundry list of titles that may not all have been your best."
After the end of the business day Friday, users will no longer be able to access suggested pre-noms on the site or make additions to the list.

The festivities begin Thursday, March 26 with an industry party sponsored by Unzipped Media. Admission is $50, with all proceeds to benefit ASACP.On Friday, March 27, the bars of San Francisco's Castro District welcome the biggest gay studios and nominees of the year to a giant tail-gate party that only NakedSword and the Stop AIDS Project could orchestrate. From bar to bar, the boys will be stiffer than the drinks, spilling out into the streets to mingle with fans.
Before the Big Game kicks off, join Tim and Roma for a live taping of The Tim & Roma Show at a pre-show brunch, Saturday, March 28, starting at 11am. All proceeds from the brunch will benefit the StopAIDS Project, providing a great way to support the community as GAYVN gears up for the Main Event.
The weekend culminates in the 11th Annual GAYVN Awards Show, starting Saturday night at 7 p.m. at the Castro. It's a night of glitz and glamour with the gAy-List of the industry, recognizing the year's outstanding achievements in the world of gay porn.
Immediately following the show at 10 p.m., NakedSword will present Homecoming, the exclusive official after-party of the GAYVN Awards. Come down and have some drinks with the crème de la crème of gay porn as we celebrate our industry and the people who drive it.
