It's official. The GAYVN Awards 2004 will be held on March 11 at Rage Nightclub in West Hollywood, California. Rage, one of West Hollywood's premier venues for dancing and entertainment, hosted the GAYVN Awards for the first time in 2003.
"We wanted to keep the event in the West Hollywood area at a venue that is conducive to our show's format," stated AVN president Paul Fishbein. "Last year's event was a success and we look forward to another great event this year. The feedback we received about last year's event and the venue was very positive."
GAYVN, the Gay Adult Entertainment section of AVN, will announce nominations for its Sixth Annual Awards on Monday, February 2, 2004.
Chi Chi LaRue from Channel 1 Releasing will once again be the show's Mztress of Ceremonies. "Chi Chi LaRue is a big part of the show and his performance and style add a unique entertainment aspect that spices up the evening," stated Chad Beecher, vice president of marketing and operations for the GAYVN Awards. "Chi Chi is a great performer and we are fortunate to be working with him on this year's GAYVN Awards celebration."
"I'm honored to be asked once again to host the GAYVN Awards," LaRue told AVN. "I think it's very important to honor everyone who makes hot, delicious, responsible gay adult films. We should all be very proud."
