Former Gay Performer Cameron Fox Passes Away at 36

LOS ANGELES—AVN has learned that Shane Eugene Davis, who worked as a gay adult performer under the name Cameron Fox, has died at the age of 36. According to Tulsa World, Davis died June 12, but there was no indication of a cause of death.

Queerty, noting that Fox had been a Falcon Studios exclusive, added, "The Texas native reportedly entered the gay porn industry in 1999 at the ripe age of 22. He quickly became known for his performance and endowment, racking up at least two awards before leaving the industry in 2006. News of his death began circulating on social media yesterday, though no official cause of death has been reported."

Gayporngossip.com's Queen Gossip also wrote of Fox, "In 2001 Cameron won an AVN Best Group Scene award for his participation in Falcon's Out of Athens. On screen Cameron was versatile although much of his work has been as a top. He is best recognized for his brunette features and of course his bigger than average nine inch cock."

iafd.com lists a total of 70 credits for Fox, whose last year performing is listed as 2012, and not 2006. According to iafd.com, his last release was ShowGuys 474: Cameron Fox & Mark Watson, for Show Guys Productions.

Falcon Studios noted the passing of Fox today in a tweet that read simply, "RIP Cameron Fox."

Queen Gossip added an update today: "Add’vantage Funeral Service of Tulsa, Oklahoma are serving the family. I spoke with the funeral director this afternoon via telephone who advised me there would be a cremation and that no memorial service would be included per the request of the family."

UPDATE

For the record, ShowGuys 474: Cameron Fox & Mark Watson was produced in December 2003, but was apparently not released on DVD until 2012. Our thanks to a reader for correcting that point.
